Procurement Officer (NV1 Clearance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to support Defence and National Intelligence Community customers. The role requires a current NV1 security clearance and a strong background in Commonwealth procurement, particularly within the Defence sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurements through the full lifecycle, including drafting pre‑ and post‑tender documents, evaluation, and negotiation plans.
• Provide expert advice on procurement and contract management to program and project teams.
• Review procurement documentation created by staff and ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act.
• Capture data and produce periodic reports on procurement activities.
• Support contract managers with vendor communication, dispute resolution, and contract negotiations.

Required profile

• Current NV1 security clearance.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Commonwealth procurement, preferably Defence.
• Higher degree qualifications or relevant industry experience, and/or Certificate IV/Diploma of Procurement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and PGPA Act.
• Experience with Defence‑related software and systems (preferred).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
