Procurement Officer

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the Minor Vessel Capability Lifecycle Manager program for the Australian Navy. The role is hybrid and involves managing procurement activities throughout the vessel lifecycle to ensure ships remain operational.

Key responsibilities

• Apply procurement practices within a Defence supply chain environment.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement, ensuring delivery meets schedule, scope and quality requirements.
• Maintain data integrity in inventory management and logistics databases.
• Collaborate with the SPO Inventory Team to procure and repair inventory, sustaining stock levels.
• Support audit and quality‑assurance controls to ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to performance reporting against key indicators.
• Maintain export‑control compliance across material support functions.

Required profile

• Practical commercial acumen with experience in sourcing, quotations, orders and supplier engagement.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience; Defence environment experience preferred.
• Computer literacy with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
