Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for an energised Procurement Officer to join Raytheon Australia’s Minor Vessel Capability Lifecycle Manager program. The role supports the Navy’s Surface Fleet by managing procurement activities across the vessel lifecycle and ensuring the right supplies are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Apply procurement best‑practice within a Defence supply‑chain environment.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement through delivery, meeting schedule, scope and quality requirements.
• Maintain data integrity in inventory management systems and logistics databases.
• Collaborate with the SPO Inventory Team to procure and repair inventory, keeping stock levels within targets.
• Support audit and quality‑assurance controls to ensure compliance with policy.
• Contribute to performance reporting against key performance indicators.
• Ensure export‑control compliance for all material‑support functions.

Required profile

• Practical commercial acumen with experience in sourcing, quotations, orders and supplier engagement.
• Minimum three years of procurement experience; Defence experience preferred.
• Computer literacy with inventory management systems and standard office software.
