Procurement Manager - Maintenance & Industrial

About the role

Urban Utilities, a water and wastewater provider serving more than 1.5 million people across South East Queensland, is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager - Maintenance & Industrial with deep Category Management expertise. Reporting to the General Manager Procurement and Supply Chain, you will lead the Maintenance & Industrial portfolio and provide strategic procurement leadership across a broad range of operational and maintenance categories, working with senior leaders to embed lifecycle category management and support the business's transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies and plans
• Embed lifecycle category management across the portfolio
• Lead and develop a team of experienced category managers
• Drive supplier performance and commercial outcomes
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the business
• Support procurement and supply chain transformation initiatives
• Manage and deliver sourcing activities across complex strategic and operational categories
• Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, value creation and risk mitigation

Required profile

• Significant procurement and category management experience throughout the supply lifecycle
• Demonstrated success leading category management teams
• Experience managing complex sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationships
• Experience in maintenance, industrial, technical or comparable operational procurement categories
• Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
