Private Client Solicitor – Senior Associate/Director/Partner (Scotland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our growing team in Perth, Scotland. The position is open at Senior Associate, Director or Partner level, offering a senior‑level appointment with progression aligned to experience.

Key responsibilities

• Administer trusts and executries, including complex estate matters.
• Draft wills and powers of attorney for private individuals, families and business owners.
• Provide succession and tax planning advice across generations.
• Advise on estates, trusts and related private client issues.
• Develop and maintain long‑standing client relationships as a trusted adviser.
• Support team development and contribute to the growth of the private client department.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in private client work.
• Deep technical knowledge of trusts, executries, estates, tax and succession planning.
• Calm, thoughtful and client‑centred approach.
• Enjoys mentoring, collaboration and helping teams grow.
• Ambitious to develop practice within a people‑focused firm.
• Clear and confident communication with clients.
• Proactive, organised and solution‑driven.
• STEP membership or working towards it (desirable).
