Principal Utilities Portfolio Lead

About the role

Infosys Consulting is seeking a senior leader to oversee a portfolio of transmission, substation and distribution projects for public and investor‑owned utilities. The role combines strategic client engagement, program management and team leadership within a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of large‑scale utilities projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
• Develop and monitor recovery plans, dashboards and KPIs to mitigate risks and maintain stakeholder‑approved parameters.
• Serve as the primary client interface, reporting progress, costs, schedules and risks.
• Mentor and supervise project managers, schedulers, controllers and multi‑discipline engineers, aligning staffing with project demands.
• Contribute to strategic growth, service offering development and knowledge‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the utilities sector, particularly in project management roles within transmission and distribution.
• Proven track record of team leadership, talent acquisition and commercial consulting.
• Strong program and account management skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in utilities project delivery and commercial consulting.
• Ability to develop RFPs, client proposals and compelling business cases.
