Principal Project Manager – Regional North Queensland

About the role

AECOM is seeking a senior Highways Project Leader to oversee delivery of complex infrastructure projects across North Queensland, including the Bruce Highway program. The role involves client‑facing leadership, stakeholder engagement and coordination with contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project delivery for large‑scale road infrastructure, ensuring schedule, budget and financial performance.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary design teams and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Engage with stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in design and project management, preferably in road design.
• Proven ability to lead multiple or large, complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Road design expertise (TMR experience preferred).
• Project management and commercial acumen.
