Associate Director Superintendent – Contract Administrator

About the role

Lead the delivery of major road and transport infrastructure projects in Queensland, overseeing contracts, safety, cost, and quality to meet client and government expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer high‑value construction contracts, acting as Superintendent, Contract Administrator, or Representative as required.
• Provide senior contractual and commercial leadership throughout mobilisation, construction, and close‑out.
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, payment claims and contractual notices.
• Resolve complex contractual issues using negotiation and commercial judgement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, specialists and external advisors.
• Monitor project expenditure, forecasts, cash flow and emerging commercial risks.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and briefings for senior client and government stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised by Engineers Australia.
• RPEQ registration.
• 20+ years experience in contract administration and delivery of major road infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience acting as Contract Administrator, Superintendent or Representative on complex contracts (TIC‑CO, D&C, CPA, Alliance).
• Strong knowledge of Transport and Main Roads policies, standards and procedures.
