Associate Director, Transport Infrastructure – Civil Engineering

About the role

Join AECOM's Transport Team in Rockhampton as an Associate Director, leading civil engineering projects across transport and general civil planning. You will work with a regional team of over 30 engineers, scientists and designers, collaborating nationally to deliver impactful infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead general civil work, including road design and urban precinct planning for government and private clients.
• Act as Project Manager/Technical Lead on multiple projects, handling business development, proposal writing and bidding.
• Mentor junior team members, manage training, and contribute to financial reporting and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with RPEQ registration and 12+ years of consultancy, council or state government experience.
• Extensive design and project management experience on state or local transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
