Principal Project and Facilities Officer

About the role

The Capital, Accommodation and Explosive Reserves (CAER) team within Resources Safety and Health Queensland is seeking a Principal Project and Facilities Officer. This senior position will lead strategic projects, manage stakeholder relationships and support the delivery of accommodation, facilities, capital assets and infrastructure services across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex accommodation, facilities and capital projects, including relocations, refurbishments and business improvement initiatives.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and oversee procurement, contract management and financial oversight for project portfolios.
• Manage the RSHQ vehicle fleet, capital asset portfolio and property‑related services such as valuations and insurance.
• Coordinate emergency response, business continuity and major organisational events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high standards.
