About the role
As a Principal Planner you will lead high‑profile urban development projects, collaborating with experts in planning, design, economics and community engagement. You will manage complex initiatives, build strong client relationships and help shape the future of Australian cities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex urban planning projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
- Provide strategic advice to private clients and government authorities.
- Manage project budgets, scopes and timelines while coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, delegating tasks and reviewing work quality.
- Develop and nurture industry and client relationships to generate new business opportunities.
Required profile
- 5–8 years of experience in urban planning, with a strong track record in the NSW planning system.
- Proven ability to manage large, multi‑stakeholder projects and deliver results within budget.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team‑player mindset.
- Degree in Planning or a related discipline.
- Solution‑focused attitude with a drive to create value for clients and the business.
