Principal Management Accountant

About the role

Provide high‑level financial expertise to CQ Health leadership, executives, clinicians and key stakeholders. Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost management while turning clinical data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance reporting to support decision‑making.
• Use Activity Based Funding, costing, benchmarking and activity analysis to generate insights for resource allocation and long‑term financial planning.
• Influence strategic decisions around contracts, service agreements, revenue, efficiency and financial planning.
• Strengthen governance and compliance by advising on financial standards, risk management and organisational performance.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial management with ability to solve complex financial challenges.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, high workload and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience using financial databases, reporting tools and financial systems to provide executive insights.
