Principal Broker - Strata

About the role

Marsh is seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead its Strata team in Sydney. This hybrid position combines strategic client management with leadership of a small team of senior account executives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key Strata clients, providing strategic advice and oversight.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of four Senior/Account Executives, managing workflow approvals and technical guidance.
• Deliver claims and strata training to Strata Managers and respond to technical insurance queries.
• Grow the Strata book of business and ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance Accreditation (ANZIIF or equivalent).
• Prior broking or underwriting experience in Strata or Property insurance.
• Strong knowledge of General and Financial Lines products, including Public Liability, Fidelity Guarantee, Building Damage, and Directors & Officers Liability.
• Demonstrated interest in mentoring junior brokers and balancing operational leadership with client oversight.

Required skills

• ANZIIF (or equivalent) accreditation.
• Technical expertise in Public Liability, Fidelity Guarantee (Crime Coverage), Building Damage, and Directors & Officers Liability insurance.
