Primary School Classroom Teacher (Junior School)

About the role

Oxley Christian College is seeking dedicated Generalist Classroom Teachers for its Junior School team, starting in January 2027. The college offers a coeducational education from Prep through Year 12 and uses Classical Christian Education principles to embed a Biblical worldview in its curriculum. Positions are full time, ongoing and fixed term.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Australian Curriculum, with clear, prompt and relevant feedback to students.
• Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into the curriculum to support spiritual and moral development.
• Maintain a well organised, positive and safe classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to support students' holistic development.
• Differentiate teaching to meet individual students' learning needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education in Primary Education or a related field, with teaching qualifications.
• Current teaching certification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Experience teaching primary students, preferably in an Australian Curriculum setting; graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and integrate Christian values.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and commitment to professional development.
