Prep Assistant

About the role

Chairo Christian School, a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 students across five campuses, is looking for a Prep Assistant to start at its Traralgon campus in Term 1 next year. The role is part-time, 16 hours per week over four days during Semester 1 each year, and supports students who need help with their specific learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a godly example to students and staff through practice, manner, relationships and lifestyle
• Assist the teacher with the daily program and give general classroom support
• Supervise, assist and support students
• Replenish supplies and help tidy the classroom
• Model good behaviour management
• Build a friendly relationship with parents

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith
• Experience in a similar position (desirable)
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to accept direction while using initiative, and to supervise and support students
• Team player
