Practice Manager / Senior Veterinary Nurse

About the role

Greencross Riverway is reopening a purpose‑built veterinary clinic in Townsville and seeks an experienced Practice Manager or senior veterinary nurse to lead the team from day one. You will shape daily operations, culture and patient experience as the clinic launches.

Key responsibilities

• Establish day‑to‑day operations, rosters and workflow processes.
• Recruit, onboard and mentor the Riverway veterinary team.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive workplace culture.
• Work closely with the clinic’s veterinary leader and regional managers.
• Maintain high standards for client and patient experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a practice manager or senior veterinary nurse ready for leadership.
• Ability to create structure, support staff and drive a positive clinic culture.
• Clear communication, calm and organised approach.
• Willingness to build a clinic rather than join an existing team.

Required skills

• Understanding of effective veterinary clinic operations.
• Leadership, coordination and mentoring experience.
