About the role

The Practice Manager takes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting the team while keeping an eye on business performance and patient experience. Working closely with the clinicians and the Regional Operations Manager, the manager helps create a well-organised practice where the team can do their best work and patients feel well cared for.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and support the team, including rostering, setting expectations and having performance conversations.
  • Manage appointment books and chair utilisation to help the practice meet its targets.
  • Monitor KPIs, revenue and wage costs, and identify opportunities to improve results.
  • Coordinate rosters across weekdays and Saturdays.
  • Oversee health fund claims, HICAPS and Child Dental Benefits Schedule processes.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding in partnership with the recruitment team.
  • Respond to patient feedback and complaints in a professional, fair and practical way.
  • Ensure the practice follows infection control, work health and safety, privacy and accreditation requirements.
