Portfolio Manager - EMOB

About the role

ANZ is seeking a commercially‑minded, customer‑focused Portfolio Manager to join the Credit Cards & Personal Loans team on a 15‑month parental‑leave cover contract. Based in the Acquisition, Activation & Retention team, you will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager to drive lifecycle strategies for the EMOB and Retention portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver initiatives that boost activation, engagement and retention for credit cards and personal loans.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify improvement opportunities and act on data‑driven insights.
• Develop and prioritize recommendations using customer insights and analytics.
• Manage enhancements across key customer journey touchpoints.
• Support campaign creation, proposition upgrades and customer communications.
• Collaborate with Product, Digital, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Legal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Prepare business cases, implementation plans and performance reports.
• Ensure all initiatives comply with governance, risk and compliance standards.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in portfolio management, product management, lifecycle marketing or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of turning data into actionable recommendations.
• Proven capability to deliver projects in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve issues in intricate campaign or journey builds.
• Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset combined with solid commercial judgement.
