Porter - Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

About the role

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney's first international five-star hotel, is looking for a friendly, energetic and professional Porter to join its Concierge team. As one of the first and last points of contact for guests, you will help create a warm welcome and a memorable departure experience. This is a part-time, fast-paced, guest-focused position.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally on arrival.
• Help guests with luggage, storage and other requests in a safe and efficient way.
• Give helpful information about local attractions and services.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance in the lobby area.
• Address guest concerns quickly and escalate issues when necessary.
• Represent the brand values and deliver high-quality service.
• Provide overnight operational support to the Duty Manager and In-Room Dining team, including technical assistance for guest requests.

Required profile

• Passion for customer service and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse guests.
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
• Ability to lift, carry and transport items up to 30 kg regularly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
• Full working rights in Australia are required.
