PMO Manager – Lead Large Tech Programs

About the role

Seven Consulting is seeking a senior PMO Manager to establish and run a high‑trust control tower for multi‑million‑dollar technology programmes across Australia. You will be the central point for governance, risk, and delivery, ensuring transparency and seamless teamwork between project, finance and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Stand up and operate the PMO for large, complex projects, programmes and portfolios.
• Lead and mentor a mixed team of Seven Consulting and client PMO resources.
• Elevate maturity by refining processes, tools and metrics to meet client expectations.
• Govern schedule, cost, risk, benefits and RAID items to prevent any slip.
• Provide C‑suite advisory by translating data into clear insights and actionable options.
• Maintain composure under pressure, setting the tone for the entire delivery team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience running PMOs for large technology programmes.
• Proven track record of shaping governance, finance and resource controls.
• Deep understanding of both traditional and agile frameworks, with the ability to select the most effective approach.
• Exceptional stakeholder‑management skills, from boardrooms to sprint stand‑ups.
• Demonstrated leadership of medium‑to‑large PMO teams, with strong references for integrity and strategic vision.
