PM Transport Co-ordinator / Allocator

About the role

Mondiale VGL is a transport and logistics provider with operations in 19 markets, offering sea and air freight, import and export, wharf transport, customs clearance and warehousing. As PM Transport Co-ordinator (also called PM Controller), you are the control point for the depot: coordinating truck movements, managing container transactions and keeping freight flowing smoothly and safely. You will work in a small, close-knit team and be the main contact for drivers, customers and operational staff.

Key responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound trucks and containers quickly and accurately
• Record container and vehicle movements in Containerchain, keeping data clean and reliable
• Manage release information and customer data
• Work with yard operations to keep truck turnaround times tight
• Communicate with drivers and operational staff via two-way radio
• Answer customer enquiries by phone and email
• Identify and report rejected containers to Operations

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a container park, transport, logistics or freight environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to stay calm and effective when the depot is busy
• Solid organisation and time management

Required skills

• Familiarity with Containerchain and 1-Stop systems (highly regarded)
• Confidence with operational systems and intermediate computer skills
