Plant Operator – Quarry Machinery

About the role

Join Boral Quarries' high‑performing team at the Bacchus Marsh site as a Plant Operator. You will safely operate front‑end loaders, excavators and other mobile plant, while supporting production targets and maintaining equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Safe operation of front‑end loaders, excavators and dump trucks as required.
• Identify mechanical faults, perform basic maintenance and keep plant areas tidy.
• Participate in problem‑solving, continuous improvement and safety initiatives such as pre‑starts and toolbox talks.
• Manage daily administration including stock control, reporting and equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular housekeeping.

Required profile

• Strong safety focus and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven experience operating loaders, excavators and dump trucks.
• Good computer skills for batching, reporting and stock management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work shift patterns.
