Planning Executive

About the role

The Planning Executive drives supply‑chain efficiency by ensuring the right products reach the right place at the right time. This role combines data‑driven decision making with cross‑functional coordination to optimise inventory, transportation and overall operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory levels across multiple warehouses to prevent overstocking and stock‑outs.
• Plan transportation routes that minimise delivery times and fuel costs.
• Forecast demand and align purchasing and stocking decisions to reduce holding costs.
• Maintain agreed lead times, minimum order quantities and safety‑stock settings in SAP.
• Manage all Item Master data in SAP relevant to planning and procurement.
• Contribute to new‑product‑development processes, owning planning and procurement aspects.
• Act as a bridge between commercial, customer service, procurement, warehouse, logistics and finance teams.
• Identify inefficiencies, control costs and support long‑term growth through capacity planning.
• Review non‑conformances, drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and report performance.
• Demonstrate Brenntag values, participate in performance reviews and create personal development plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain or logistics planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret historical data and market trends.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

• SAP (Item Master, planning modules).
• Planning or simulation software for scenario analysis.
