Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

As a Buyer at Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions, you will support the end‑to‑end purchasing process, build strong supplier partnerships, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of materials and services that meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full purchasing cycle, creating and managing purchase orders to secure timely supply of materials, products, and services.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor lead times, and resolve delivery or supply issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs to maintain product availability while meeting inventory targets.
• Work with third‑party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transportation partners to coordinate inbound shipments and deliveries.
• Track orders and shipments, proactively communicate delays, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to support customer requirements and business priorities.
• Support warehouse and logistics activities by ensuring accurate delivery scheduling, inventory transactions, and shipment documentation.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier data in SAP and other business systems.
• Assist with demand planning, forecasting, and supply‑chain reporting.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across all organisational levels.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience in the electronics, fibre optics, or copper cable industry.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
