Pharmacy Technician Grade 3

About the role

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is looking for an experienced Grade 3 Pharmacy Technician for its Pharmacy Department in Fitzroy, near Melbourne's CBD and public transport. This is a permanent, full-time position with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, working with a skilled and supportive team across specialised services such as aseptic and chemotherapy preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide aseptic services, including chemotherapy compounding, biohazard sterile preparations and sterile manufacturing
• Support satellite pharmacy and dispensary services
• Manage imprest supplies, inventory and stock
• Support PBS claims and associated processes
• Work autonomously while collaborating closely with pharmacists and the wider Pharmacy team

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy/Health Services Support, or equivalent
• Minimum of three years' full-time experience as a qualified hospital pharmacy technician
• Chemotherapy compounding experience is highly desirable
• Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one
