About the role
This permanent, full‑time pharmacist role spans Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, offering a diverse mix of clinical and dispensary rotations. You will join a supportive pharmacy department focused on medication safety, patient outcomes, and professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews and evidence‑based recommendations.
- Validate, dispense, compound, and check medications in line with professional standards and local guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams to optimise medication therapy.
- Support pharmacy technicians and assistants to ensure timely, accurate medication supply.
- Participate in quality‑improvement, research, education and professional development initiatives.
Required profile
- Pharmacy qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Pharmacy) from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Full, unrestricted registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA (or eligibility within 3 months of start).
- Eligibility for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award, if applicable.
Required skills
- Medication review and clinical decision‑making.
- Dispensing, compounding and medication verification.
