Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking a registered Pharmacist to join its state‑of‑the‑art dispensary and ward pharmacy teams. This 12‑month, full‑time role offers a dynamic rotational schedule across the hospital’s largest private health service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient care on acute wards.
• Rotate through the busy pharmacy dispensary, operating the advanced dispensary robot.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in research, quality‑improvement projects, and oncology pharmacy activities where applicable.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute healthcare settings.
• Demonstrated experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably oncology.
• Motivated, enthusiastic and able to manage a complex workload during high‑demand periods.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy software applications.
• Clinical drug knowledge.
• Oncology pharmacy knowledge.
