Pharmacist – Hervey Bay & Maryborough Hospitals

About the role

Join the Pharmacy Department at Maryborough and Hervey Bay Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. As a pharmacist you will deliver high‑quality pharmaceutical care in a multidisciplinary environment, supporting safe and effective use of medicines across the Fraser Coast region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to in‑patients and out‑patients, including medication review and counselling.
• Participate in the departmental rotational roster, covering 24‑hour emergency on‑call, public holidays and weekends.
• Work across Maryborough and Hervey Bay Hospitals and may attend the Maryborough Correctional Facility as required.
• Promote safe, effective and efficient use of medicines in line with the department’s goals and mission.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist from a registered tertiary institution.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a valid practising certificate.
• Proof of qualification and registration to be provided before commencing duties.
