Pharmacist – Clinical Pharmacy Services

About the role

The Rockhampton Pharmacy Department is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will play a key part in ensuring safe, effective medication management throughout the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications and perform medication reconciliation for patients.
• Provide patient counselling, medication reviews and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Supply drug information and evidence‑based recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics and quality use of medicines initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor and educate pharmacy assistants, students and junior staff.

Required profile

• Recognised tertiary pharmacy qualification and current (or eligible) AHPRA registration.
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge with ability to deliver safe, evidence‑based services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to supporting staff development and continuous service improvement.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate between $43.68 – $58.59 (AUD) plus superannuation and leave loading.
• Total remuneration up to $132,567 per annum.
