About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing aged care services, is looking for a pet volunteer to visit residents at its North Turramurra residential care facility. As a Volunteer Pet Visitor, you and your friendly, well-behaved pet can bring comfort, companionship and smiles to residents. Visits are relaxed, rewarding and flexible, either one-on-one or in small group activities.

Key responsibilities

Spend time chatting with residents and sharing cuddles, pats and happy moments
Help spark treasured memories of beloved pets and brighten someone's day
Visit weekly for 1 hour, on Monday or Tuesday afternoons from 2:30 pm; weekend opportunities may be available for volunteers with dementia care experience

Required profile

A caring nature and a pet that enjoys being around people
No special skills required
Age 18 or older
An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
