About the role

Benetas is looking for Support Workers / Home Care Workers to join its team in the Metro North region of Victoria. Its Care Workers in Community, Health and Care provide one-on-one care so older Victorians can live comfortably in their own homes, stay connected and feel supported. The advertised position is in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as light cleaning and meal preparation.
• Work one-on-one with clients in their homes to help them live their best lives and maintain relationships.
• Help clients stay connected to their communities through the activities they enjoy.
• Accompany clients on unescorted shopping trips with a list.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respect for all people, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race or sexual orientation.
• Own vehicle, current driver's licence and car insurance, to drive between clients' homes and drive clients as required.
• Willingness to travel between clients, sometimes up to four clients per day and up to 10-30 minutes between them.
• NDIS clearance, First Aid and CPR certificate, or ability to obtain them.

• $34.43 per hour plus superannuation.
