Personal Care Worker - Community Health & Care (Hepburn)

About the role

A not-for-profit aged care organisation is looking for a Personal Care Worker to join its team serving the Hepburn region. PCWs provide one-on-one care to help older Victorians live comfortably in their own homes, supporting them to stay connected and feel supported through daily activities, personal care and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities according to their needs and choices
• Work one-on-one with clients in their homes to help them live their best lives and maintain relationships
• Assist clients with personal care or domestic duties in their homes
• Help clients stay connected to their communities through the activities they enjoy

Required profile

• Completed or currently studying a Cert III or higher in Individual Support or a related qualification; first-year nursing students who have finished their placements are also eligible
• Genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Respect for all people regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race or sexual orientation
• Your own vehicle, current driver's licence and car insurance, to drive between clients' homes and drive clients as required
• Willingness to travel between clients, sometimes up to four clients per day and up to 30 minutes between them
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or eligibility to obtain it)

What we offer

• $36.49 per hour plus superannuation
• Paid travel and training time
• Salary packaging up to $18,550 per year
• Flexible days and hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
