Personal Care Assistant - Part Time Permanent

About the role

St Vincent's Care Maroochydore is looking for a Living Support Partner (Personal Care Assistant) to work part time in a specific household. The role is supervised and involves working as an effective household member, providing direct care and assistance to residents with all activities of daily living so they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged. The facility is a modern, lifestyle-oriented aged care service on the Sunshine Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices
• Assist and support residents' wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties
• Follow the care plan and uphold resident rights and responsibilities

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualification (essential)
• 6 months' experience in a similar role; residential aged care experience (dementia experience) highly regarded
• Flexible to work any shifts, mainly night shifts
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is mandatory and NCCHC

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) and the ability to maintain excellent records
• Understanding of aged care and resident rights, with ability to follow the care plan
