People Senior Advisor

About the role

Fortescue is looking for a People Senior Advisor to join its Perth CBD office, based on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Working closely with the People Principal, you will give HR advice and guidance to Senior Leaders and partner with their management teams. The roster is Monday to Friday with flexible work options and occasional travel to site locations.

Key responsibilities

• Work with leadership teams to ensure effective implementation and management of Fortescue People policies, practices and procedures.
• Promote Fortescue's culture and values through role modelling and everyday engagement.
• Provide high-level coaching and mentoring to leaders and the workforce.
• Manage complex HR/ER workplace investigations.
• Support and facilitate leadership development training.
• Support leaders with organisational reviews as required.
• Drive regular Fortescue People initiatives in line with agreed timelines.
• Initiate, manage and contribute to major People reports, projects, committees, reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in human resources, employee relations or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a Senior HR generalist role covering IR/ER, performance management, organisational development and HR reporting.
• Ability to communicate, promote and uphold Fortescue People initiatives and company values with discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, counselling, negotiating and report writing across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and control your workload.
• Project experience is highly regarded.
