The role combines day-to-day HR operations ownership with hands-on junior People Partner responsibilities, keeping people processes accurate and efficient while building experience in employee relations, coaching and people projects.
Key responsibilities

- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, support payroll preparation, and manage People inboxes and queries.
- Maintain People policies, process documentation and templates, prepare regular People reports, and ensure processes comply with employment legislation and internal controls.
- Support performance, remuneration, engagement and talent processes, and provide first-level guidance to employees and people leaders on policies and employment matters.
- Assist with employee relations, probation reviews, team changes, engagement surveys, people initiatives and internal communications, and coordinate People & Culture projects.
- Partner with the engineering team to identify and automate manual, repetitive processes, helping scope and test automation solutions and track their impact.
Required profile
- Experience in People Operations, HR administration, HR coordination or a similar People & Culture role, supporting employee lifecycle processes in a fast-paced or growing organisation.
- Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence to give guidance to employees and people leaders, and ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
- Proactive, service-oriented, able to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Interest in process automation and technology, and experience in a technology, SaaS or growing organisation is highly regarded.
Required skills
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll or employee management systems.
- Practical understanding of employment processes, policies and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What we offer
- Hybrid working with a minimum of three days a week in the office.
- A focus on learning and development through Humanforce HR.
- Talent referral program, 12 weeks paid parental leave for primary careers and 4 weeks for secondary.
- Employee Assistance Program, rewards and recognition program, and access to the Thrive financial wellbeing platform.
