People & Culture Manager (HR Business Partner)

About the role

Scope Healthcare is seeking a People & Culture Manager to lead its HR function across multiple clinics in Melbourne. This hands‑on role will involve strategic planning with Directors and day‑to‑day execution of recruitment, employee relations and HR system administration.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business plans into staffing, organisational structure, leadership development and retention actions.
• Coach managers, clarify responsibilities and develop future leaders across clinics.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, contracts and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations, including performance issues, grievances and investigations.
• Run performance and development reviews, gather employee feedback and address retention concerns.
• Draft and maintain contracts, employment letters and policies in line with Australian legislation and awards.
• Administer the Rippling platform: maintain records, configure workflows, manage onboarding/off‑boarding and produce workforce reports.
• Ensure clinical staff checks, credentials and training are up‑to‑date and support wellbeing, safety and return‑to‑work matters.

Required profile

• Senior HR generalist or People & Culture experience in a multi‑site, growing business.
• Hands‑on recruitment experience from sourcing to onboarding.
• Proven ability to prepare employment contracts, policies and HR documentation.
• Confidence handling employee relations cases, including investigations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, NES and modern awards.
• Demonstrated improvements to people processes, manager capability or retention.
• Excellent judgement, discretion and ability to manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Rippling administration (data maintenance, workflow configuration, reporting).
• Experience with Employment Hero (highly regarded).
