People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

Bright & Duggan Group is seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to deliver its People Strategy and shape an engaged, supported and empowered workplace. Based at the St Leonards head office, this hybrid role partners with leaders across the NSW business on employee engagement, talent management, workforce planning, employee relations and leadership support, with occasional travel to Sydney Olympic Park and Kirrawee.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and managers to align people strategies with organisational objectives and give expert HR advice and support
• Champion initiatives that improve engagement, wellbeing and workplace culture
• Support leaders with change management, organisational design and continuous improvement
• Implement workforce planning, talent management and succession planning
• Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager on recruitment, onboarding and retention
• Coach managers on performance reviews and help manage underperformance and development plans
• Resolve employee relations matters such as grievances and disciplinary actions, in line with the Fair Work Act
• Support the Health Safety & Wellbeing Officer and ensure P&C practices comply with local, state and federal laws and relevant awards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field (highly desirable)
• Minimum 3 years as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner (essential)
• Knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards
• Preferred: experience in property, real estate or strata, and delivering people initiatives and change programs
