People & Culture Advisor – Generalist HR Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join a collaborative, high‑performing HR team supporting a large, complex, multi‑site business in Australia. Reporting to the People & Culture Operations Manager, you will act as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, delivering expert HR advice and people initiatives that drive organisational success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations and legislative matters.
• Manage employee relations cases, including grievances, investigations and performance issues.
• Coach and support leaders on people management, workplace issues and best‑practice HR approaches.
• Interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant employment legislation.
• Support workforce planning, succession planning, onboarding and retention initiatives.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of people strategies, organisational change programs and continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and systems.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across a geographically dispersed workforce.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a generalist HR/People & Culture Advisor with strong employee and industrial relations knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret Australian awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
• Commercially minded, proactive and able to provide practical, solutions‑focused advice.
• Australian citizenship is essential.
