People and Systems Analyst

About the role

Culture Amp, the employee experience platform, is hiring a People and Systems Analyst in Melbourne. The role is the analytical and technical backbone of the People Systems and Analytics function, acting as an analytical partner to Total Rewards and the wider People function and reporting to the Manager, People Systems and Intelligence. It covers compensation analytics and modeling, people analytics, and understanding and configuring People Systems such as HRIS, ATS and LMS.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards and self-serve analytics tools for the People function and business leaders.
• Support the wider People function with salary band modeling, pay equity analysis, performance and compensation cycles, compliance reporting and engagement.
• Design and build automations for high-volume processes across People Operations and Compliance.
• Own People Systems configuration, data pipelines and downstream integrations for the People team.
• Document systems architecture and maintain a prioritized backlog of automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in HR, people data or business analytics.
• Ability to understand data and create actionable insights, and to design automation for people processes.
• Systems thinking: able to map processes and identify failure points.
• Excellent documentation habits.

Required skills

• High proficiency in HRIS platforms, ideally BambooHR, including data models and workflow configuration.
• SQL and business intelligence tools for data querying and modeling.
• Practical experience with agentic AI frameworks.
• Nice to have: hands-on experience building automated workflows with no-code tools or scripting languages.
