People Advisory Manager (18‑month contract)

About the role

This 18‑month fixed‑term position leads People Advisory for Diageo Australia, covering both demand and supply functions. You will provide legally aligned advice, manage ER/IR cases, investigations and policy governance while driving HR projects that simplify processes and build manager capability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical advice to managers on complex people matters such as performance, conduct, grievances, exits and redundancy.
• Own end‑to‑end ER/IR case management, formal investigations and ensure fair, documented outcomes.
• Maintain and update local P&C policies, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation, Awards and EBA obligations.
• Coordinate union engagement, EBA interpretation and industrial relations activities with legal and HR partners.
• Lead priority HR projects, driving policy transformation, simplification and tool adoption.

Required profile

• Demonstrated HR advisory and generalist experience with strong ER/IR capability.
• Deep knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and union environments.
• Experience managing complex investigations, performance, conduct and redundancy processes.
• Proven ability to develop HR policies, governance frameworks and manager enablement materials.

Required skills

• HR advisory and employee relations expertise.
• Understanding of Australian employment law, Awards and EBA.
