Payroll Officer

About the role

Elders is looking for a Payroll Officer to join its team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will help deliver accurate and timely payroll services across Elders' national workforce, including its Real Estate network, providing trusted support to employees and stakeholders and keeping payroll processes running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and processing end-to-end fortnightly payrolls
• Assist with the preparation, administration and remittance of statutory requirements
• Ensure payroll practices are compliant and that company policy, awards, employment agreements and legislation are applied correctly
• Action requests and queries within agreed timelines
• Maintain electronic employee files and records
• Build strong relationships and help create and streamline processes to drive efficiencies

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll, with a proven ability to deliver accurate and timely services; real estate experience desirable
• Strong experience processing large payrolls end-to-end, with an established understanding of payroll and relevant legislation
• Confident communicator by telephone, email and video conferencing
• Task focused, able to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Problem solver with attention to detail and a proactive approach

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel
• Experience with Workday is highly regarded
