Manager, Corporate Tax

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is looking for a Manager to join its high-performing Corporate Tax team in Adelaide. The team gives tailored advice on every part of the corporate tax process, helping clients with tax audits, international tax issues, corporate governance obligations and mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and deal structuring. The role offers flexible and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax compliance and advisory work for a broad range of corporate clients, mixing formal and informal engagements
• Manage overall client engagement, including relationship management, tax compliance and advisory, with involvement in international tax, M&A and IPO transactions
• Build client relationships and identify growth opportunities, and take part in business development
• Support continuous improvement in tax compliance and process-based activities
• Coach, support and develop less experienced team members

Required profile

• University degree in a related discipline such as Accounting / Finance, Business / Commerce, Legal, or relevant professional qualifications
• CA / CPA, CTA or other relevant industry accreditation
• Demonstrated experience and technical skills in corporate tax and advisory, ideally in a public practice environment
• Proactive approach to client relationships and cross-selling, with a strong sense of ownership
• Previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring team members
