Payroll Officer

About the role

Join the growing Payroll Team at Minor Hotels in Maroochydore, reporting to the Group Payroll Manager. You will manage end‑to‑end payroll for a high‑volume, multi‑site workforce across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process full end‑to‑end payroll for a diverse portfolio of hotel properties.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with awards and EBAs.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and journals.
• Respond to payroll queries promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external bodies as required.
• Assist with process improvements and payroll‑related projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in full end‑to‑end payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and EBAs.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Experience with payroll systems such as Chris21 or Micropay.
