Payroll Consultant – Workday Practice

About the role

Mivada is expanding its Workday practice and is looking for a Payroll Consultant or Senior Payroll Consultant to lead payroll implementation projects across Australia and New Zealand. The role combines deep payroll expertise with client‑facing consulting, offering the chance to become Workday certified and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimise Workday Payroll solutions to meet client requirements.
• Lead payroll configuration, testing and deployment activities on implementation projects.
• Manage integrations between Workday Payroll and external systems.
• Advise clients on best practices, process improvements and compliance with Australian/NZ legislation.
• Develop payroll reporting, provide end‑user training and post‑go‑live support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• Proven experience implementing payroll systems in Australia or New Zealand.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and payroll operations.
• In‑depth knowledge of Australian or NZ payroll compliance (tax, superannuation, leave, garnishments, reporting).

Required skills

• Workday Payroll (experience preferred, certification a plus).
• Payroll system configuration and implementation.
• HRIS/payroll platforms for data management, reporting and workflow administration.
• Integration design between payroll and external applications.
