Payments Partnerships Manager

About the role

Adyen is seeking a commercially savvy Payments Partnerships Manager to lead the growth and enhancement of its card products and local payment methods in Australia. You will act as the go‑to expert on the Australian payments ecosystem, collaborating with product managers, analysts and developers across regional and global partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of payment partnerships, including prioritisation, structuring and negotiation of new initiatives, and ongoing partner management.
• Proactively manage Australian partners, conduct Quarterly Business Reviews, secure incentives and troubleshoot issues with development and operations teams.
• Elevate Adyen’s market influence through industry engagements, joint product development, co‑marketing and other partnership opportunities.
• Develop and execute programs that advance Adyen’s strategic goals and positioning in key markets and merchant segments.
• Provide expertise on global payment trends, rules and regulations to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in QBRs with top merchants, work closely with product managers on new product development, and manage escalations from local and global teams.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience managing accounts or partnerships in the card payments sector.
• Deep knowledge of the payments landscape and ability to interpret emerging trends.
• Exceptional people skills with a proven record of building strong relationships at all management levels.
• Strong analytical ability to make data‑driven recommendations and translate them into actionable results.
• Commercial focus with experience scoping and planning new implementations across cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work seamlessly with a global, multicultural team and manage complex initiatives to outstanding results.
