Part‑time Demi Chef in the Blue Mountains

About the role

Lilianfels Resort & Spa in Katoomba is looking for a part‑time (20 hrs/week) Demi Chef to join its culinary team. You will support the kitchen’s daily operations and help deliver high‑quality dishes for guests in a 5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to the highest standards.
• Oversee a designated kitchen section during service as directed by a senior chef and help train junior chefs.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Support stock rotation, inventory management and control wastage and portion sizes.

Required profile

• Chef trade qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in an à la carte restaurant environment.
• Ability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable vehicle or willingness to relocate close to the resort.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food health and safety standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork and multitasking abilities.
