Part‑time Bookkeeper / Accountant (2‑3 days/week)

About the role

Metis Consulting is seeking a part‑time Bookkeeper/Accountant to join its North Sydney team. This permanent position involves 2‑3 days per week, offering flexibility to work both on‑site and remotely while supporting the firm’s healthcare‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day‑to‑day bookkeeping records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and review journal entries.
• Prepare and assist with the compilation of financial statements.
• Utilise accounting software to process all financial transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to address client financial needs and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and handling financial statements.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and finance.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Experience in the travel industry is highly desirable; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
