Part-Time Workforce Planner

About the role

IRT, a community-owned provider of independent living, aged care and home care, is looking for a Workforce Planner to forecast staffing needs, analyse workforce data and develop strategies to put the right people in the right positions. The role is part-time (24 hours per week), working Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and requires on-site presence at both IRT Greenwell Gardens (Nowra) and IRT Culburra Beach, with shifts from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm or 10:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop schedules in line with business needs.
• Assist the Workforce Coordinator in rostering employee resources.
• Publish rosters, process employee status changes and employment transactions, applying knowledge of relevant industrial instruments.
• Manage employee and team leader contacts about planned and unplanned absences and assess the need for backfilling or extra shifts.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry guidelines.
• Set up new staff on the systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in rostering or a similar position.
• Qualifications in business, commerce, human resources or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Flexibility to work on-site at two locations during the stated shift times.

Required skills

• High-level skills with Microsoft Office products and HR information systems.
• Payroll certification (desirable).
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
