Part-Time Retail Customer Service & Sales Consultant

About the role

Telstra is hiring a Retail Customer Service & Sales Consultant for its Brisbane ICON store. The role provides frontline support by helping customers choose products, activate services and troubleshoot basic issues, creating positive experiences through good communication and adherence to retail standards. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Help customers find the right products and services to suit their needs
• Stay up to date with the latest gadgets and services and give informed advice
• Use consultative selling to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Work with the team to create a welcoming environment and help achieve store goals

Required profile

• Great communication skills and a solution-oriented approach
• Sales drive and motivation to exceed targets
• Eagerness to learn and a resilient, positive attitude
• Customer-facing experience is a plus but not required

• Hourly rate of $33.33, with junior rates for those under 20
• Penalty rates: 25% extra after 6 PM on weekdays, 25% on Saturdays, 100% on Sundays and 150% on public holidays
