Part-Time Personal Care Assistant

About the role

Riverside Gardens, a residential aged care facility in Nambucca Heads, NSW, is looking for a compassionate part-time Personal Care Assistant. Working alongside Registered Nurses and the wider care team, you will help residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort and wellbeing in a supportive, home-like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting assistance
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration and daily living activities
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing
• Follow care plans and keep accurate documentation
• Encourage participation in activities and social engagement

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support or a similar care role (desirable)
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
• Availability to work a variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends
